Rev. Dr. Dominic Savio, SJ is the Principal of St. Xavier's College (Autonomous), Kolkata and the President of St. Xavier's College (Calcutta) Alumni Association. Father is also the former Rector of St. Xavier’s College and School, having assumed the office from December 2013 to January 2020. Also, Father has worked as Former Vice Principal and Former Deputy Principal of St. Xavier’s College before taking over as the Principal.
Father graduated with major in Economics from the famous St. Joseph’s College, Trichi. He did his Post Graduation and M.Phil. from the epitome of Jesuit Education in India, Loyola College, Chennai. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Burdwan University. His research interests include International Trade, International Economics, Econometrics.
He did his higher studies in Philosophy at ‘De Nobilie’ and ‘JnanaDeepa’, Pune and Theology in ‘Vidyajyoti’, Delhi
Fr. Dominic Savio is the Vice President & Secretary of the Governing Body of St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), Kolkata and the Governing Board Member of St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata.
